The lifespan of hair extensions varies depending on the type of extensions and how well they are cared for. Generally, they can last from 6 to 12 weeks before needing maintenance or adjustment.

When applied and maintained correctly by skilled professionals, hair extensions should not damage your natural hair. We use high-quality extension products and techniques to minimise any potential damage.

For the health of your natural hair and the longevity of your extensions, we recommend having them professionally removed by our trained stylists. This ensures proper care and prevents damage.

The frequency of haircuts depends on your curl type and desired style. Generally, curly hair benefits from regular trims every 8-12 weeks to maintain shape and prevent split ends.

Yes, you can straighten your curly hair occasionally using heat tools, but it's important to use heat protectant products and minimise heat exposure to prevent damage.

Use lightweight, curl-enhancing products and avoid heavy oils or products that can weigh down curls. Regular trims to remove excess weight and maintain shape can also help.

Use anti-frizz products, such as serums or creams, and avoid touching your curls excessively. Consider protective hairstyles or using a scarf or hat to shield curls from humidity.

We recommend sulphate-free shampoos, moisturising conditioners, leave-in conditioners and curl creams tailored for curly hair. Our stylists can recommend products based on your hair type during your appointment.

Air-drying is often the gentlest method for drying curly hair to avoid frizz. If using a blow dryer, use a diffuser attachment on a low heat setting to evenly distribute airflow and enhance your curls.

Look for stylists with experience in curly hair care, positive client reviews, and who understand your unique curl pattern and styling preferences. At Hush we have a lot of knowledge about curls and would love for you to come and experience it for yourself!

Refresh your curls in the morning by lightly misting with water or a curl refresher spray. Gently scrunch your curls and apply a small amount of curl cream to redefine and maintain the shape of your curls.
