Sophia really looked after me and was incredibly kind throughout my appointment. She took the time to explain that what I originally wanted wasn’t achievable with my hair, but she suggested a beautiful balayage instead, and I’m so happy with how it turned out. She really knows what she is doing. The... private room was perfect, and she was so respectful and considerate, which made me feel very comfortable. Victoria cut and styled my hair beautifully and took the time to make sure she understood exactly what I wanted. I had been putting off getting my hair cut for months because of a bad butterfly cut experience. I was nervous, picky and honestly scared of getting it wrong again. But Mae completely changed that. I had my appointment today at 10am. From the moment I sat in her chair, she listened. Really listened.... I explained what I wanted — extra long layers, soft U-shape, face-framing at the collarbone, no curtain bangs, keeping my length and density — and she understood every single detail without me even needing to show reference photos. She just got it. She checked with me before making any cuts, showing me exactly where the layers would fall. My hair is not very dense and I wear it in a braid most days. Mae made sure nothing was too short or choppy. She blended everything so beautifully — my hair finally feels connected and flowing again. The butterfly cut damage? Completely fixed. For anyone with very long hair who is scared to cut : Mae didn't just keep my length for the sake of it. She cut what was needed — a few inches of dead, damaged ends — to make my hair actually look good. Keeping length that is unhealthy doesn't help anyone. She found the perfect balance: still long, but healthy and shaped. That is the mark of a true professional. I also got the Fusio Dose treatment, and my hair feels healthier than it has in years. Yes, I spent more than I planned, but for a corrective cut this precise, it was absolutely worth it. Mae is experienced, patient and genuinely cares about getting it right. Had a Balayage done by Becky a while ago, she was amazing. My second time seeing her. Super friendly and incredibly talented! I also really appreciated the Privacy Room option for girls who wear Hijab, even the windows were tinted!! And the fact that there was a prayer mat available really helped, e...specially during a process that can take a few hours. I had a Nano Keratin at this salon with Brock who was wonderful, patient, skilled and friendly. I also had a trim and bangs to update my style. I would recommend for anyone looking for a professional salon in Birmingham.
